State of Emergency Extended in General Sánchez Cerro - Moquegua, Peru
Starting 4 September, the State of Emergency in General Sánchez Cerro has been extended for 60 days. The order covers the Coalaque, Chojata, Ichua, Lloque, Matalaque, Ubinas and Yunga districts. The declaration was made in response to increased activity at Ubinas Volcano. Ashfall and explosion were recorded at the volcano on 26 August.
