Possible Strike at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - Kenya
The Kenya Aviation Workers Union (Kawu) issued a seven-day strike notice on January 29, stating that members will go on strike in one week (Tuesday, 5 February) to protest the proposed takeover of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by Kenya Airways. If the strike goes ahead, workers at duty-free shops, inflight functions, ground staff, and cargo operations will walk off the job.
