On 1 April, authorities declared a state of emergency on Paros and Mykonos after devastating storms wreaked havoc in the Cyclades. The storms caused extensive damage in Paros, Mykonos, and Chania. The hardest-hit areas were Naousa and Kamares, where the storm flooded homes, damaged roads, and caused landslides. The emergency will remain in effect until 30 April. Rhodes and Crete also reported severe weather.

Avoid non-essential travel to the affected areas since there may be power outages and damage to infrastructure, such as roads, transportation and communication systems. Several roadways in the area are not accessible. Be cautious and consult local meteorological reports wherever available through local media (TV, radio, and local alerts).
