Peaceful protests in Amman, Jordan, over increased fuel prices

More than 1,000 people protested against dramatic rises in fuel prices in Jordan’s capital Amman and in some smaller provincial towns. Although this demonstration was peaceful, travellers should exercise caution and avoid all public and political demonstrations since they may become violent without notice.
