Flights to Kisamayo Airport Suspended 23 to 26 September, Somalia

Effective today, 23 September, until Thursday, 26 September, the Somalia government has suspended flights to Kismayo Airport. There is no official statement as to why the flights are suspended. Some reports indicate the action is seen as an effort to stop leaders from attending the inauguration on Thursday of the president of Jubaland, a semi-autonomous state of Somalia.
