Hurricane OTIS Strikes in Mexico - Update

The tropical storm called OTIS quickly strengthened within 24 hours to become a major hurricane just before reaching the western coast of the state of Guerrero. Currently, the area is buffeted by winds up to or exceeding 220 km/hr. Internet connectivity has been lost in Guerrero. Major disruptions in the tourist city of Acapulco are expected.
