COVID-19 Precautionary Measures in Republic of Congo - Brazzaville (7 December Update)

Can a resident enter the country?

• Foreigners are allowed to enter the country.

Is transit allowed through the country?

• Yes

• Transiting passengers must quarantine at their own expense at government-designated facilities until their travel resumes.

• All arriving and transiting passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test certificate issued within 72 hours prior to departure.

Is a test certificate allowed?

• A COVID-19 test certificate for tests conducted in other countries is accepted.

Test on arrival??

• Passengers who do not present a negative COVID-19 test certificate upon arrival must have a COVID-19 test at the airport.

• Travellers entering the Republic of Congo may be subject to screening, including temperature checks.

• All passengers age 11 and older exiting the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) must present a negative COVID-19 test from the INRB or a laboratory approved by the Ministry of Health, with the test performed within 3 days prior to departure. • Land and river borders are closed until further notice. Transportation of cargo is allowed with prior permission.

Curfew restrictions

• A curfew is in effect for Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire. The curfew will remain imposed from 23:00 until 05:00 from Monday to Friday. The curfew hours are 20:00 to 05:00 on Saturday and Sunday. There is no curfew for the rest of the country.

• The state of emergency has been extended for a further 20 days until 19 December.
