COVID-19 Precautionary Measures in The Gambia (13 November Update)

Can a resident enter the country?

  • Yes

  • Citizens and residents are allowed to enter the country.

Can a foreigner enter the country?

  • Yes

  • Foreigners are allowed to enter the country.

Is a test required on arrival?

  • No with exceptions

  • Passengers without a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival will be tested upon arrival.

Is a test certificate allowed?

  • Yes

  • Test certificates obtained outside of Gambia are accepted.

Test certificate required?

  • Yes

  • All arriving passengers must have a negative COVID-19 test certificate issued within 72 hours before arrival. Those with certificates will not be required to quarantine.

Is quarantine required on arrival?

  • No with exceptions

  • Those with valid certificates will not be required to quarantine. Those without a negative test or an expired test will be required to quarantine for 14 days and be tested at their own cost.

  • The Gambia reopened its land, air, and sea borders.
