UEFA European Championship 2024 - Germany
From 14 June to 14 July, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) European Championship 2024 will be held in Germany. The first game will be at the Allianz Football Arena in Munich from 21:00 hours (local time). The final match will be held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. Other matches will be played in stadiums in Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig, Stuttgart and Gelsenkirchen. Every host city will welcome supporters to dedicated fan zones with public viewing installations.
Due to the risk of potential terrorist threats, elaborate security arrangements will be made in and around the stadiums. Extensive checks and traffic restrictions will also be implemented. There is also going to be a heightened police presence in key commercial areas around Germany. A travel rush can be expected near the arenas and the hotels where the teams will stay. Increased security can be expected at airports due to the VIP movement.
