Update: Airstrikes in Sistan-Baluchestan - Iran, Pakistan

Early on 18 January, Pakistan’s Air Force launched airstrikes in Iran’s Sistan-Balichestan Province, claiming to target suspected militant hideouts. At least 7 people were killed in the attack. Pakistan’s attack may have been in retaliation to recent Iranian missile strikes in Balochistan. Further retaliatory strikes can be expected. Diplomatic tensions between both countries are currently high.
