Malaria outbreak in Lunda Norte Province, Angola

Health authorities have declared an outbreak of malaria in Cafunfo, in Lunda Norte Province, after 6 children less than 5 years old died from their infections.

All travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
