Weekly Black Friday, Anti-Corruption Rallies - Manila, Philippines

On 31 October, Black Friday protest will be held along Mendiola Bridge in Metro Manila. An anti-corruption protest by the ‘Concerned Artists of the Philippines’ will also be held in Quezon city on the same day. The timings are remain unspecified, as of writing. Weekly Black Friday protests are scheduled on 07, 14, 21, and 28 November in different areas, details are yet to be confirmed by authorities/organizers.

On 30 November, a major protest to denounce the government’s selective prosecution of corrupt officials will be held across the capital city. There will be student walkouts and sit-down strikes by workers (both public & private sectors) as well.

Expect and prepare for delays. Avoid all public and political demonstrations as they may become violent unexpectedly. Security personnel may be deployed at major thoroughfares in the affected areas. Expect disruptions in public transport systems.
