Update: High Alert in Northeastern Syria

As of 27 January, a high alert remains in place in the Kurdish-controlled city of Qamishli in Hasakah province. This follows a fragile ceasefire after several days of clashes with Syrian government forces advancing into Kurdish-held areas in northeastern Syria. Further clashes are possible.
