Several states in Brazil continue to report significant activity by the dengue fever virus. They include São Paulo, Mato Grosso, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Sul. Travellers to areas where the dengue fever virus is active can reduce their risk of exposure to dengue fever virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
