Border Restrictions

The Jersey border is open. All incoming travellers in the Bailiwick of Jersey must complete a pre-departure registration form prior to their journey with the declaration of travel history, information regarding contact tracing and what measure they will choose from the following three options:

The incoming traveller should provide a negative COVID-19 test report not older than 72 hours before their arrival. However, the documentary evidence of the test report will not be accepted at the border unless the government authorities approve it, or

The incoming traveller must undergo a swab-test after arrival in the Bailiwick of Jersey. The passenger must remain in self-quarantine until the test result emerges. If the result is negative, the passenger will be informed via text message and will be allowed to continue as normal. In case of a positive result, the Contact Tracing Team of Jersey will call the person to trace their recent contacts, and the traveller must remain in self-quarantine for two weeks at a government-run designated quarantine facility, or

The incoming traveller must undergo a two-week self-quarantine after arrival in the Bailiwick of Jersey.

All incoming passengers must be available for the Contact Tracing Team of the Bailiwick of Jersey and must follow all the public health guidelines.

Failure of the compliance with the above measures may lead to a fine up to 1,000 pounds.
Curfew/Lockdown Restrictions and Relaxations
- The island has been under Level One of the Safe Exit Framework since 8 August. All businesses and services will reopen, and people may visit each other in homes with strict social distancing and hygiene measures.
Social Distancing Restrictions and Relaxations

Face masks are mandatory in all public places.

The physical distancing requirement for all businesses is reduced to 1 meter from 2 meters.

Social gatherings of a maximum of 20 people are allowed.

Larger gatherings for controlled events, such as organized sports, marriages, and funerals, are allowed with a maximum of 40 people.

Restaurants and cafes can open but with social distancing measures.

Pubs and bars are open.

Open-air recreational sites can open.

Schools have reopened.
Transportation Restrictions

On-island travel is allowed if following social distancing measures.

Buses are permitted to run with limited service.
