Typhoid fever reported in Santiago, Chile

Officials of the Public Health Institute have confirmed 7 cases of typhoid fever. Although typhoid fever in the Santiago region has been decreasing since it peaked in the nineties, there are still residual risks, especially in neighbourhoods in the outskirts of the capital city, Santiago, where the 7 cases resided.
