Can a resident enter the country?

• Citizens and residents are allowed to enter.

Can a foreigner enter the country?

• No with exceptions

• Foreign nationals are not allowed to enter Mongolia until 31 December.

• A valid long-stay visa or permanent residency must be provided by any foreign national to enter Mongolia.

Is a test required on arrival?

• Yes

• All eligible travellers may undergo COVID-19 test on arrival.

Is quarantine required on arrival?

• Yes

• All travellers eligible to enter will undergo health screening and a mandatory 21-day quarantine at designated facilities at their cost.

Airline restrictions

• Until 31 December, all international commercial flights will remain suspended, except for some occasional charter flights for repatriation.

• Domestic flights have resumed operations.

Border restrictions

• Government has extended the closure of the border until the end of December.

• Rail service is suspended until 31 December.
