Typhoid fever continues in Harare, Zimbabwe (update)

Since the current typhoid fever outbreak began in the suburbs of Harare, at least 3,000 cases of the disease have been reported. At least 5 people have died. Travellers to this city can reduce their risk of exposure to typhoid fever by being cautious and avoiding consuming contaminated food or water. Vaccination against typhoid fever should be considered, especially if unsafe food cannot be avoided.
