Travellers coming from high-risk countries, or any travellers who have visited a country that is not listed in low-risk countries, must have a test on arrival and quarantine until they get a COVID-19 negative certificate.

A negative COVID-19 test is not required for travellers arriving from low-risk countries.

Travellers arriving with a certificate for a negative result of the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 not older than 72 hours may be exempt from self-isolation.

From 7 December all travellers including cross-border workers and students must provide a negative COVID-19 antigen test report to enter the country.
Is quarantine required on arrival?

Travellers must quarantine until they receive the negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test result if they were required to take a test on arrival.

Travellers who have only visited countries listed in the Regulation of the Public Health Authority of the Slovak Republic in the last 14 days before arrival in Slovakia do not need to stay in home isolation or take a COVID-19 test. Self-isolation will terminate:

by obtaining a negative result of the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 disease;

in the case of an asymptomatic course of isolation by completing its 10th day.

The self-isolation requirement does not apply if, upon entering Slovakia, the traveller had a negative result of the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 performed in laboratories outside the territory of the Slovak Republic, not older than 72 hours.

Travellers who in the last 14 days before arrival in Slovakia, visited a country that is not an EU member state and is not listed in the Measure, must stay isolated at home or in a quarantine accommodation facility after entering Slovakia. The isolation period will terminate by obtaining a negative result of the RT-PCR test for COVID-19.

During the period of home isolation, everyone in the same household must also self-isolate.

Travellers who have travel history to EU countries, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, United Kingdom or Switzerland in the last 14 days may be exempt from quarantine if they show a negative RT-PCR test report for COVID-19, not older than 72 hours.
