More than 15,000 malaria cases in Cambodia

So far this year, there have been 15,980 malaria cases and 5 deaths. While this number is slightly less than last year at this time, travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended for known malaria areas in Cambodia.
