Approximately 1,050 cases of cholera have been reported since the beginning of this year. The most affected provinces include Cunene, Uige, Luanda, and Benguela. There have been 18 deaths. Cholera is a common infection in Angola, and travellers can reduce the risk of exposure tocholera by strictly observing all food and water precautions.
