Sea and air borders are closed to most foreign nationals. This restriction does not apply to travellers who reside in the French West Indies, the EU, Schengen area member states, the UK, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Switzerland, the Vatican, Iceland, Norway, San Marino, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Tunisia, New Zealand, Thailand, Morocco, Rwanda, South Korea, and Uruguay, or to those who are travelling for urgent health reasons or approved business reasons.

Passengers from Guadeloupe, Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy are required to provide a valid and compelling reason for travel.

Every passenger over 11 years old travelling to Martinique must submit a negative COVID-19 test certificate issued not more than 72 hours before boarding from their point of origin. Passengers with positive results will not be allowed to board the airplane.
Is quarantine required on arrival?

Mandatory quarantine is not required for travellers arriving in Martinique from the approved countries, as long as the travellers do not show any COVID-19 symptoms. However, it is advised to quarantine for seven days and get a PCR-test on the seventh day of their stay.

All incoming passengers over 11 years old must present a sworn statement that they do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 and they were not aware of having any contact with any COVID positive patient at least fourteen days before their journey. The form can be found here.

To enter the French West Indies, a travel certificate is required. There are two different types of certificates: travel from France to overseas territories and international travel from abroad to the French Overseas territories. Both certificates can be accessed here.

A lockdown has been imposed. People are not allowed to leave their homes, except for certain purposes, including work, essential shopping, medical reasons and family reasons. The confinement measures will remain in effect until at least 15 December, and based on the situation, the lockdown will be replaced by an overnight curfew from 21:00 to 06:00.
