Forest fires across coastal regions of Croatia

Forest fires are burning across coastal regions of Croatia, including the area of Peljesac Peninsula and the island of Korcula. Evacuation has been ordered for residents of Trstenik as well as other villages and town on the Peljesac Peninsula. The fires have destroyed vineyards, olive groves, pine forests and livestock. Local authorities report that the fire has disrupted electricity and telecommunications to some areas.
