Tropical Storm NIVER Is en route to Tamil Nadu, India

The tropical storm NIVER ie expected to reach the coast of Tamil Nadu in the next 36 hours with winds currently estimated at 100 km/hr. Heavy rains are expected into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 25 – 26 November. Storm warnings have been posted for Pondicherry and Nagappattinam. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is preparing for relief operations.
