New areas of Southern Botswana affected by malaria.

Malaria cases have been reported from the southern part of the country. In the past, the disease was confined to the northern part. So far, a total of 286 cases of malaria with 3 deaths have been reported.

Travellers to Botswana should be aware of the risk of exposure to malaria and take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
