COVID-19 Precautionary Measures in Niue (5 December Update)

Can a resident enter the country?

• Yes

• Residents are allowed to enter Niue.

Can a foreigner enter the country?

• No with exceptions

• Foreigners except for New Zealand-based Niuean nationals, Niue descendants, spouses and children of essential workers such as diplomats, skilled workers, and other special situations, such as the immediate family of members of residents and those who need to travel due to urgent or emergency circumstances are not allowed to enter Niue.

Test certificate required?

• Yes

• All travellers must have a negative PCR test report issued within four working days of departure from New Zealand and must present this before boarding any flight to Niue.

Is quarantine required on arrival?

• Yes

• Travellers who are approved to enter Niue from countries other than New Zealand will be required to quarantine in New Zealand before arriving in Niue and will be required to quarantine for another 14 days on arrival in Niue.

• Travellers who stayed in the past 14 days in Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, China (People’s Rep.), Chinese Taipei, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR China), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Macao (SAR China), Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, USA or United Kingdom, are banned from entering Niue. This does not apply to Niue citizens or residents.
