There are currently limited flights operating to and from Jordan. All passengers arriving at Queen Alia Airport Jordan will need to follow instructions set out by Government of Jordan.

All travellers will be subjected to a COVID-19 test on arrival at their own expense.

Authorities may change the testing requirement with little or no advanced notice.

All arriving travellers must provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test performed no more than five days (120 hours) prior to departure.

Travellers with diplomatic passports travelling on duty are exempt from this requirement.
Is quarantine required on arrival?

Travellers from all countries must undergo mandatory self-isolation for seven days. On the seventh day, another test will be performed at their own expense. With a positive result, the passenger will be moved to a designated hospital for further treatment under the supervision of health officials. With a negative result, the passenger will be allowed to enter the country.

Travellers younger than 18 years and with a positive report are allowed to undergo home-isolation until they recover from the illness. In case of severe illness, individuals may be sent to government-designated hospitals for treatment.

Travellers arriving via land borders will undergo seven days of quarantine at their home or place of residence.

Every passenger who plans to arrive by air must apply electronically to travel to Jordan and complete the Travel to Jordan Declaration form. The traveller will pay for the second PCR test online.

The maritime border is currently closed.

Most land borders are closed; however, border crossings with Israel, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Palestinian territories are allowed to open for the movement of goods.

Al-Jaber border crossing will remain closed as no official confirmation is yet declared by the government of Jordan for re-opening the crossing.

Four border crossings (Al-Mudawwarah border centre, King Hussein Bridge, Sheikh Hussein Bridge and Al Omari) have reopened for travellers, allowing a limited number of people to enter Jordan. Currently, however, the registration for entering via King Hussain Bridge is closed.

Travellers must register through the portal and receive approval to cross the entry points. Non-Jordanian travellers must upload a passport photo, proof of residency from the Gulf countries, the United States, European countries, or proof of approval from the Ministry of Interior.

Jordanian travellers are required to upload only a photo of their passport.

Curfew restrictions

There is a nationwide curfew from 22:00 to 06:00 hours for citizens and 21:00 to 06:00 hours for commercial establishments, such as malls, shops, and restaurants.

A total lockdown every Friday will remain in effect until the end of 2020.

Lockdown or curfew measures may be imposed at any time in different areas depending on the pandemic situation.

Anyone violating the curfew measures will be fined and/or imprisoned.
Social distancing restrictions

A maximum of 20 persons can gather publicly.

Every individual must maintain 1.5 meters physical distance with one another when in public areas.

Social distancing guidelines must be followed in public spaces. People found violating rules will be quarantined for two weeks or could face a fine or imprisonment. If economic establishments are found violating the rules, they will be closed for 14 days and fined.
