COVID-19 Precautionary Measures in Barbados (4 June Update)

Airlines Restrictions

• All international commercial flights have been suspended until 30 June.

• Cargo flights still resumed.

Curfew Restrictions and Relaxations

The Barbados Parliament has extended the State of Public Health Emergency until 30 June.

A curfew is in place from Monday to Thursday, 22:00 hrs to 5:00, and Friday to Sunday, 20:00 hrs to 5:00 hrs (local time). Essential services and workers are exempted from the curfew.

Restrictions on the following businesses were lifted on 1 June:

 - Photo studios and photographers

 - Real estate agents; car rental companies

 - Animal grooming and handling

 - Trucking and other transport of goods

 - Storage; car valet services

 - Well cleaning; recycling businesses

 - The sale of alcohol has resumed. Consumption, however, is not allowed in public places.

 - Beaches are open from 05:00 to 18:30 (local time).

Social Distancing Restrictions

• No more than three people are allowed inside a shop at a time.

• In beauty salons, bookshops, and religious places, gatherings of up to 20 people are allowed.

• For the sale of gasoline, auto marts at gas stations will remain open to the common public.

• Wearing face masks and maintaining social distance in public places are mandatory.

Border Restrictions and Relaxations

• The country has not closed its borders.

• Anyone arriving at Barbados will have to abide by a mandatory 14-day quarantine in an institutional quarantine facility.
