COVID-19 Precautionary Measures in Grenada (23 November Update)

Can a resident enter the country?

  • Yes

  • Citizens and permanent residents can enter.

Can a foreigner enter the country?

  • Yes

  • Borders opened for regional travel and foreigners, with certain exceptions.

Is a test required on arrival?

  • Yes

  • Travellers will undergo health screening on arrival, which may include testing.

  • All visitors will be given the option to have a PCR test done on the fourth day of their stay to terminate quarantine or remain in the hotel for the remaining period of their stay. Returning residents will also be required to have a test on the fourth day to go back to their homes.

Test certificate required?

  • Yes

  • All travellers will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test certificate taken within the last 7 days before entering Grenada. Children under 5 years of age are exempt from the test requirement.

    • As of 28 November, travellers will be required to carry a negative COVID-19 test certificate taken within the last 72 hours before arriving in Grenada, instead of the existing 7-day period.

Is quarantine required on arrival?

  • Yes

  • Arriving travellers will be required to quarantine for five to seven days in government-approved accommodation. Travellers will only be allowed to leave the quarantine facility after the day 4 PCR test results are available.

Insurance required?

  • Yes

  • All foreign travellers will be required to get travel health insurance that covers all expenses related to COVID-19, such as isolation, tests and treatment.

Entry form required?

  • Yes

  • Travellers must have a Pure Safe Travel Certificate to enter Grenada. Travellers must carry a printed or digital version of the authorization, as travellers will be required to present the form at check-in before boarding from their point of origin.

Recommended Border App

  • Yes

  • Travellers must download and register in Grenada’s contact tracing app, named Ronatrac Mobile App. The app is currently only available on the Android platform.

Airline restrictions

  • Minimal

  • Some international flight services have resumed. Regional commercial flights are operating.

  • Anyone with UK Emergency Travel Documents is allowed to enter and transit through Grenada.

Border restrictions

  • Minimal

  • Borders are open.

  • Travellers arriving on yachts must pre-register on https://grenadalima.com/. Yachts that are not registered will not be allowed to enter Grenada. All crew members of the yachts are required to get a COVID-19 PCR test done, not more than seven days before arriving in Grenada. All yachts will be required to anchor in the Saint George’s quarantine anchorage.

  • There are limited ferry services to Carriacou and Petit Martinique.

Curfew restrictions

  • Minimal

  • There are no curfews or lockdowns in place.

Social distancing restrictions

  • Minimal

  • A maximum of 20 attendees are allowed at social events.

Internal travel restrictions

  • Minimal

  • Inter-island domestic ferry services have resumed at a reduced level.

  • Buses and taxis are currently allowed to operate with full capacity, based on their insurance policies. Face masks are mandatory for public transportation.

Non-essential shops open?

  • Yes

  • Businesses, including shops, are open and can operate normally.

Accommodations open?

  • Yes with exceptions

  • Some hotels are open. The full list of accommodations and reservations can be made here.

Restaurants open?

  • Yes

  • Restaurants are allowed to open until 22:00 daily.

Beaches and tourism sites open?

  • Yes

  • Beaches are currently open.

Personal care services open?

  • Yes

  • Businesses are open and can operate normally.

Places of worship open?

  • Yes

  • Churches are open.

Events allowed?

  • Yes

  • A maximum of 20 attendees are allowed at weddings, funerals, and other social events.

Masks required in public?

  • Yes

  • Face masks or face covers are mandatory in any public place or vehicle when there is another passenger.

  • Failure to observe the restrictions could result in a fine or detention.

Other

  • Nightclubs are currently closed.

  • Doctors, dentists, and opticians, hospitals, medical facilities, pharmacies, and medical supply businesses are open.

  • Registered or bona fide fishers, farmers, butchers, insurance companies, and firms providing security guard services are allowed to open.
