Guinea: Avoid Opposition Party Organized Funeral Events in Conakry on 6 December

The opposition Front National Pour La Défense De La Constitution (FNDC) party has organized a funeral event in Conakry on 6 December to commemorate the victims of the deadly protests on 4 and 14 November. The details of the events as below:

• 10:00 (local time): Picking up of the bodies from the Sino-Guinean hospital of Kipé;
• 13:30: A prayer will be held at the Bambeto mosque;
• 14:00: Start of the funeral procession towards the Bambeto cemetery;
• 15:00: Burial of bodies at Bambeto cemetery;
• 16:00: Conclusion of the ceremony

To minimize safety risk, avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Even events intended to be peaceful can escalate unexpectedly and quickly become violent.
