Malaria is a major risk in Namibia

In the first 3 months of this year, there have been at least 6,000 cases of malaria reported in Omaheke, Kunene, Erongo, Hardap and Karas regions. Travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
