Telecom Outage Across Denmark

On 28 November, telecom provider TDC experienced widespread service outages across Denmark. Calling services, including emergency numbers, were unavailable for thousands of customers. Danish railway operator Banedanmark also reported disruptions to the digital signaling system in Jutland. Affected lines include Esbjerg-Holstebro, Vejle-Struer, and Aarhus-Aalborg. Restoration efforts are underway.

Advice

Use alternative communication methods such as landlines, internet-based messaging apps, or alternative carriers if available to stay connected during the outage. In case of an emergency, use phones from providers other than TDC or remove SIM cards to call 112, as phones can connect to emergency services without a SIM card.

Contact your rail operator and stay informed about the status of disruptions. Plan ahead and use alternate means of transport to minimize disruptions.
