Attempted coup in Lesotho

There have been reports of an attempted military coup against the Government of Lesotho on August 30. The military reportedly seized government buildings in the city of Maseru, but the city is calm at this time. The prime minister escaped to South Africa. Any travellers in this country should exercise caution and follow the advice of local authorities.
