Dengue fever exposure risk is moderate to high throughout Vietnam.

Since the beginning of 2011, there have been approximately 23,000 reported cases of dengue fever throughout the country. There have been 22 deaths so far. The number of cases and deaths may be much higher due to under reporting to health authorities. The General Department of Preventive Medicine (GDPM) reported a total of 5,000 cases in July alone, including 8 fatalities.
