U.K.: Tube Closures in London During the Holiday Season

Tube closures in London will be in effect during the holiday season from 24 December to 2 January 2020. The details are as follows:

24 December Service will be reduced from 16:00 (local time), except for Waterloo and City and Circle lines. No district line service between Parsons Green and Wimbledon from 22:45; Circle line will run a normal service until 22:30; Waterloo and City line will run a normal service until 22:30.

25 December All services will be closed on Christmas Day

26 December On the northern line, there will be no service between Morden and Euston via Bank; between Morden and Camden Town via Charing Cross; and on other lines, no District Line service between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia), Waterloo and City Line service. 27 December There will be service on 28 December on all lines except Waterloo and City Line. No District Line service between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia), and night Tube will be running as normal

28 December Service will be available on all lines as well as night Tube.

29 December No Metropolitan Line service between Baker Street and Aldgate, Circle Line service, District Line service between South Kensington and East Ham, Hammersmith and City Line service between Baker Street and Barking.

30 December There will be service with first trains at weekday times on all lines except Waterloo and City Line. Waterloo and City Line will run a reduced service with first and last trains at normal weekday times. No District Line service between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia).

31 December - New Year’s Eve

Day schedule- All service on all lines will be reduced. First Central Line trains between Hainault and Woodford via Grange Hill will run, No Piccadilly Line service between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane and District line service between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia).

Night schedule - Free travel from 23:45 to 04:30. Waterloo and City Line runs until around 02:40. No Piccadilly Line service between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane, District Line service between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia)
