Malaria explodes in South Sudan

Through August this year, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of malaria cases across South Sudan. So far, there have been almost 1,000,000 cases, including 445 deaths.

Any traveller to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
