Malaria is serious risk in Cambodia

So far this year, there have been 25,050 reported malaria cases in the first eight months of this year, including 6 deaths. While theses numbers are less than the same time period last year, malaria is still a risk across the country. Travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended except for areas noted.
