New warning to US citizens in Lebanon

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut has issued a warning U.S. citizens in Lebanon to use “exercise extreme caution” in high-profile public places. U.S. citizens should avoid sites or areas that are Western interests, such as hotels, Western-style shopping areas, Western retail store chains and any public or social event where U.S. citizens may be. Presently, these sites and areas are likely targets for terrorist attack.
