Unusual protest in Vietnam against China's South China Sea policies

Small protests occurred in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City against China’s claims to the oil and rich gas deposits in the South China Sea. Vietnamese police arrested 20 people. Although these demonstrations were basically peaceful, travellers should be wary of public and political demonstrations since they may become violent without notice.
