Reported cases of West Nile fever have increased to 297 cases with 12 deaths nationwide. Cases have been reported from 33 states and the District of Columbia. The most affected states include California (93 cases), Louisiana (43 cases), Texas (30 cases) and South Dakota (22 cases).
