Yellow fever outbreak in Peru continues to grow

The previously reported outbreak of jungle (sylvatic) yellow fever continues to grow. There have been 9 deaths and more than 50 cases. The Selva Central area is affected and includes the districts of Junín, Pasco, Ucayali, Loreto, Huancavelica and Cusco.

Persons visiting this area should obtain vaccination against yellow fever at least ten days prior to their trip.
