State of Emergency Declared - Lima, Peru

Effective 11 October, a state of emergency will be declared in Lince and Cercado de Lima districts for 60 days. The order was issued to increase citizen security and combat crimes. Increased police deployment is likely. Suspension of constitutional rights and social gatherings between 00:00 and 04:00 hours (local time) will be in effect. A state of emergency is already in place for San Juan de Lurigancho and San Martín de Porres.
