Suicide Bomb Kills Women and Children in Kabul, Afghanistan

A suicide bomb was detonated during rush hour at the entrance to the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Ministry killing 12 or 13 people and injuring 25-30. Security has deteriorated in the city during recent months ahead of elections scheduled for October.

Advice

Due to lack of personal security and continued armed conflict, all travel to Afghanistan should be avoided.
