Airport in Kathmandu reopens and relief operations underway

Updates to the Nepal earthquake disaster indicate that the Kathmandu airport has reopened, and rescue and relief planes are arriving. Regular flights have not resumed. Hundreds of tourists are stranded. Much infrastructure is damaged, i.e. power outages, mobile phone networks are down, damage to roads, destroyed buildings. Hospitals are overwhelmed.
