A 6.7 magnitude earthquake strikes near Imphal in Manipur State, India

An earthquake measuring 6.7 magnitude has struck in Manipur State near the borders with Myanmar and Bangladesh, killing at least nine people (6 in Manipur and 3 in Bangladesh). Significant damage and many injuries have been reported in the capital city of Imphal.
