Bombings continue in Iraq

Three bomb blasts hit Baghdad and Madain, Iraq, on Friday, killing eight and injuring at least twelve people. In a series of bombings across Iraq on Saturday, at least 19 people were killed and dozens wounded in the following areas: the neighbourhood of Amil; a bus stop in southern Baghdad; an outdoor market in Mhamoudiya town; near a row of restaurants in the Shiite town of Balad Ruz.

Meanwhile Islamic State suicide bombers attacked the town of Baiji overnight with two suicide car bombings, followed by armed conflict.
