Health officials are urging the local population to take measures to control mosquitoes as the total number of reported dengue fever cases reaches 1,008. There have been 6 deaths recorded and at least 20 persons are reported to be seriously ill. During the last few days, hospitals had reported 100 new cases to the Ministry of Health.
