Escalating violence between Israelis and Palestinians

Tension and violence has been escalating between settlers and Palestinians with Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem and the Old City. Also, there have been individual attacks in many areas, including near the Temple Mount compound, a shopping area near Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Kiryat Gat.

Further incidents are likely in the coming weeks. Many countries advise citizens to avoid all travel to the Gaza Strip and to avoid unnecessary travel to within 5 kilometers of the Gaza Strip. Avoid unnecessary travel to the West Bank, and exercise a high level of caution throughout Israel.
