Fresh wave of deadly violence in Iraq

Iraq is presently experiencing a new wave of deadly attacks. On Saturday, about 22 people died in shootings and bombings across Baghdad. One terrorist group executed about 16 of its own members for withdrawing from Fallujah. Also on Saturday, militants kidnapped and killed about 20 Iraqi army soldiers in an attack on a military base. These latest attacks continue the surge of violence occurring this year.
