Fuel shortage in Nepal still affecting travel and services

Fuel shortages continue to be a problem in Nepal causing mass cancellations of tour bookings and disrupting routine travel. Some restaurants cannot operate due to lack of cooking gas.

Advice

In Kathmandu, routine travel is a problem, however, shops and hotels are open and roads are clear. Power has been restored. The international airport is operating.

Check with your tour operator prior to travelling.
